What Is Profhilo?
The first of its kind, Profhilo® is a revolutionary ‘beneath the skin’ hyaluronic acid moisturising treatment. Unlike dermal fillers it is not designed to add volume, instead this skin booster works using high levels of hyaluronic acid as a anti ageing hydration treatment. Stimulating collagen and elastin, attracting water in the deeper layers of the skin, which helps to restore skin firmness. improves skin laxity and overall luminosity.
Treatment
The ultra-pure hyaluronic acid is precisely injected into five points of the face. These areas of the face have been studied and are shown to highlight the ageing process first. Profhilo can also be used in other areas such as neck, hands, knees and decollatage.
After the initial course of two treatments, 4 weeks apart a maintenance dose should be given every 6 months.
Treatment Prices
There are many benefits to choosing Botox as your preferred anti-wrinkle treatment, including:
- Long lasting results, usually only needing top up treatments every 3-4 months.
- You can eliminate fine lines and wrinkles around your mouth, eyes and forehead without the need for surgical intervention, which can be much more expensive and carry greater risks.
- You will start to see results after the first session. Some treatments can take a lot of time before results are visible, but with Botox you can expect to see peak results within 10 days of your first session. The results will then improve further over time as part of a proper treatment plan.
Most people don’t experience any pain or discomfort during the procedure, however there are options to numb the skin beforehand. You should speak to us about this in your consultation to discover what options you have.
During the procedure, our doctors will administer tiny amounts of the botulinum toxin into your problem areas. This is done using a very thin needle, which many patients cannot feel or report no discomfort. The amount of injections will depend on how many areas you are having treated, how large they are and the severity of your lines and wrinkles.
The procedure will usually begin to take effect within 3 or 4 days of the injections, improving over time and potentially lasting up to 3 or 4 months before another treatment session is required.
One of the biggest risk factors when undergoing botox injections is the practioner. You must only ever see a trained doctor to administer this procedure.
